When is the Ostpreußenhütte open?
We are here for you from May 15th to October 31st 2024 every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
There is quiet time in the hut from 9:30 pm until 6:00 am, wich means that leaving the hut after 9 p.m. and before 6 a.m. is not possible.
From 1st of November until 8th of November 2024 we are open:
Monday from 9am – 5 pm
Tuesday we are closed!
Wednesday to Friday from 9am – 5 pm
Saturday to Sunday from 9 am – 9 pm (kitchen until 7pm)
Our hut is closed from 9. November 2024!
The winter room is open to self-catering guests (no toilets, no shower facilities).
How do I get to the Ostpreußenhütte?
There are various routes to the Ostpreußenhütte:
- From Werfen via Dielalm (1026m), walking time approx. 3 ½ hours.
- From the Dielalm (1026 m). This can be reached by car and offers parking, walking time approx. 2 hours (path no. 401).
- From Tenneck through the Blühnbachtal, walking time approx. 5 hours.
- From Imlau/Pfarrwerfen via the Sonneck Haus, walking time approx. 3 ½ hours (path no. 60)
How do I get to Werfen?
Directions from Munich to Dielam: A8, at the Salzburg motorway junction turn onto the Tauern motorway A10, after the Paß-Lueg tunnel take the Tenneck exit (E34) and take the B159 south until you reach the town entrance to Werfen. Turn right and follow the signs to Dielalm.
Should I reserve?
Overnight stays are only possible with prior online reservations. Unfortunately, we cannot accept overnight stays at short notice.

Dogs are not allowed during overnight stays.
